Arrabbiata Sauce

The recipe for this Arrabbiata sauce dates back to the early 1900s in Naples, Italy. It traveled to the United States when Nicola and Edda Caputo came from Italy in search of the American dream. They opened the Red Rose Restaurant, and have been using this recipe for over 55 years.

This “spicy” sauce uses tomatoes directly imported from the San Marzano region of Italy, gently hand picked during their peak season for the freshest, best tasting sauce!

This Arrabbiata is the perfect blend of these robust tomatoes, fresh basil, parsley, and garlic, (YES…we said fresh), and a touch of hot pepper seeds to create the perfect amount of spice.

The Arrabbiata is all natural, has no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, is Gluten FREE and Non-GMO, with no added sugars. In addition, is considerably naturally lower in sodium than the competitive sets. Only 210 mg per serving.

Package includes 3 25 oz. jars.

Ingredients: Imported Italian Whole Plum Tomatoes, Tomato Puree, Oil (50/50 Blend of Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Canola Oil), Garlic, Salt, Fresh Parsley, Fresh Basil, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Crushed Red Pepper. Non-GMO.

This Arrabbiata Sauce is best paired with a short tube pasta, similar to penne, ziti or cavatappi, but is versatile enough to be used in a multitude of other applications.

Crisp Italian white wines, such as Pinot Grigio and Verdicchio, are best paired with this rich-flavored sauce.

Red Rose Restaurant and Pizzeria has been family owned and operated since 1963.
